Hi kids.
I know these past three years have been not so fantastic in terms of updates, etc.
This deviantART is mostly from my high school years, and I've got some mixed feelings on the content. In a way, this was how I reached to the outside world then. I know I was probably not the most mature person. If you can call some of the earlier sketches on here "Art", I think that might be depicted well there.
Since then, I've grown up a lot.
Art to me is something different now. It's not about amusement, though it does amuse at times. It's not about people telling you how great you are (it was never about that, but there were times I started to wonder).

The digital pieces. The photography. The paintings. Those were me.
Even the silly sketches.

The sketches lacked substance, but the paintings were the very best I had to offer.
I kept it going pretty steadily from age 16 to 18, when I went to college.

I only have one year left before I go out into the big bad world with my bachelors degree in fine arts.
I have some shaping up to do.
And indefinite soul searching.

So I'm going to be away for a while.
I know that probably seems silly considering my flimsy updates and lack of submissions for the last few years. I still feel like it's important to put that here though. I'm quite thankful for the community I was welcomed into when Jason bullied me into joining (thanks again, Jas )

I want to be viewed as an artist.
I know I'm not the best. There are more than a few artists on here that could easily scoff at what I can do.
Hell knows how many times I've been shot down since the inception of this account.
But I've always loved art and has been a vital part of what I was, still am, since age three. Really, no kidding

When I know my show and what it means to me, I'll update.
No paintings up from the show until after I open.
And if so, there is a definite possibility of me creating another account. Just one for my professional debut, if not for purchasing information

Until then, I'll be around to a degree. Maybe a journal update once in a blue moon.
